IBEW Local 426 was chartered as a construction local in 1916. We have 574 members. Our first Rural Electric Co-op joined in 1961, and we now represent 26 groups. Local 426 serves eastern South Dakota and four countries in southwestern Minnesota, doing inside electrical construction, outside line construction, residential wiring, telecommunications, fiber optics, tree trimming, line clearance, utility, REAs and telephone co-ops.
